4 Trends From NYFW We Can't Wait To Try Immediately

Thrills and frills from New York City.

This passed week we’ve been glued to the coverage of New York Fashion Week, and we’ve had to pay extra close attention because some designers, like Tom Ford, have decided to start showing their Fall-Winter ’16 collections while everyone else is unveiling Spring-Summer ’17. But on the plus side, it means that we can start rocking some of our favorite looks straight away, and here are our top four.

We saw shoulder detail trends gather momentum this summer and they look set to stay in style through to next year, with designers getting even more experimental with, specifically, classic banker shirts.

This is a bold look that we love to embrace this time of year to reflect the beautiful deep fall colors. Sorry goths, dark lipsticks in red, purple, black, and blue have been given a high-fashion makeover.

Ruffle detailing has been slowly creeping into our closets over the passed few seasons, but this Fashion Week was practically in dedication to the frilly trim, featuring in a huge number of collections across the board, both in its more traditional style and as contemporary flare on more refined collections, like Self Portrait’s sporty update on the Latino look.

Every day can be a Wednesday this fall! Head-to-toe pink is the new power dressing. We have our fingers crossed that Zara does a cheeky but affordable riff on Ralph Lauren’s epic feathered extravaganza of a coat.
